Part Two also known as Part Two: The Endless Not is an album by English industrial band Throbbing Gristle, released in 2007 through record label Mute Records. In a similar vein to the band's 1978 album : The Third and Final Report, the album features four tracks each created by each individual member of the group. Bryin Dall was the co-writer and performer on the track by Genesis P-Orridge. The cover image is a picture of Mt. Kailash taken by Martin Gray. Features Song Lyrics for Throbbing Gristle's Part Two: The Endless Not album. Throbbing Gristle - Part Two: The Endless Not Album. Artist: Throbbing Gristle. Album: Part Two: The Endless Not. Part two the endless not ululates downer, intestinal gurglings, leaking tainted folds of vocal dementia a murky morass of exhilarating obfuscation, gradually sublimating the listeners id beneath a clotted, calamitous shroud of despondency. For over two decades they have excelled at ruthlessly conjoining disparate genres brutally dislocating conventional musical motifs, and lovingly reassembling their derisive parody of pop music. That so much of Throbbing Gristles inspirational absurdity still retains the power to unnerve, is arguably due to their singular genius of unearthing malefic osc. It's therefore more 'Psychic TV' than Throbbing Gristle. This album is a real Rubik's cube of all 3 artists who went on to record after 1981. The overall feel is one of a 'Coil' album but with some 'Psychic TV' vocals which at times are excellent and at others, truly awful. Throbbing Gristle - Vow of Silence 7:02. So news of Throbbing Gristle's reformation in 2004 came as a shock, and not merely because of Christopherson's apparent distaste. It hangs heavy over sections of their comeback album. Vow of Silence, Greasy Spoon and Lyre Liar find Throbbing Gristle taking one of their signature modes - the churning electronic rhythm track overlaid with improvised noise - and buffing it up for the 21st century. Separated and Above and Below give the same treatment to the kind of disquieting ambient style they pioneered on 1978's E-Coli. Throbbing Gristle's muse was the pit that grows in your stomach when you're frightened, and since dread and unease were what they had to work with- rather than hooks and melodies- they learned to play with them as assuredly as Holland-Dozier-Holland. On the The Endless Not, the grunts and cries of corrupted digital matter are made to sound animalistic, animistic, aleatory, and antagonistic. The heavy current of magical dread and performance art provocation that runs through all of those hundreds of hours of TG live tapes snakes here through the band's samplers as well.
