Late 70's reissue with black RCA label.

In October 1971, Dolly Parton released her eighth solo album, Coat of Many Colors. The song, My Blue Tears, was released as the albums first single in the summer of 1971 and was followed by the release of the album and title track in fall of the same year. Dolly wrote the title song about her mother, Avie Lee, who sewed the now famous coat from fabric scraps, weaving love into every stitch along with a reassurance that Dolly and her siblings were rich despite their lack of money. She pinned the words on the back of a dry cleaning receipt while touring with her duet partner, Porter Wagoner. Coat of Many Colors is the eighth solo studio album by American singer-songwriter Dolly Parton. It was released on October 4, 1971, by RCA Victor. The album was nominated for Album of the Year at the 1972 CMA Awards. It also appeared on Time Magazine's list of the 100 Greatest Albums of All Time and at No. 301 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
