In 2008 Ben Thomas embarked on the exploratory project entitled The Edge. This project is the realisation of a collective pursuit to explore creativity through means such as music and visual art. Cat barks like fear.

 

We All Fall Down, Dark Scrawls and Within This World Within My Mind encapsulate raw moments of creativity, life, expression, movement, thought and are open to interpretation through various art forms. Each album represents the different stages of this constantly evolving project with contributions by many inspirational artists.

Is anybody there creeping on the stair? Chritmas Eve, 2014 saw the release of Within This World Within My Mind. This is the third album by The Edge and features 14 new tracks alongside accompanying films and artwork. All music is composed, arranged, performed and recorded by Ben Thomas (horns) alongside inspirational musicians - Tanya Walker (vocals), Emily Wright (vocals), Jonathan Taylor (piano), Erika Lyons (double bass) and Scott Hammond (drums). The debut album We All Fall Down by The Edge was released in 2009. It features compositions, artwork and performances by Ben Thomas (horns) with vocals and lyrics by Laura Collins alongside contributions by talented musicians Tom Greenhalf (piano), Erika Lyons (double bass) and Scott Hammond (drums) amongst others. Though you want to cry do dry your eye the end is nigh.

Dark Scrawls was released in 2011. This album features compositions, artwork and performances by Ben Thomas (horns) alongside contributions by musicians Emily Wright (vocals), Tom Greenhalf (piano), Erika Lyons (double bass) and Scott Hammond (drums) amongst others. Don't call me Deirdre!
